School of Rock Saginaw is Turning Up the Music in Texas With Grand Opening

May 08, 2024 // Franchising.com // SAGINAW, Texas - School of Rock announced today the grand opening of its new school in Saginaw, Texas at 6944 Blue Mound Rd.

School of Rock Saginaw, owned by Chuck Kraus and Holly Clifford, brings nearly 50 years of combined experience in music, art, and education to its students. Chuck, a graduate of the University of North Texas with degrees in Music, Education Administration, and Higher Education Administration, served in the Army Band and spent over 20 years teaching middle and high school band and orchestra. Holly, also a University of North Texas alumna with degrees in Visual Art Studies and Childhood Literacy, has 27 years of experience teaching visual art from kindergarten to 12th grade, with a strong connection to dance and music. Both Kraus and Clifford have firsthand experience with the program, witnessing its impact on Holly’s son's confidence and sense of personal responsibility.

“We have worked and lived in the area for nearly 30 years and we truly love our community. We’re beyond excited by their response for the new location and can’t wait to share this experience with them. Holly’s son started as a student at the local School of Rock and the growth in his confidence from learning to play an instrument and perform with a group inspired us to open our own,” said Chuck Kraus, owner of School of Rock Saginaw. “School of Rock Saginaw is a place for everyone, not just kids or experienced players. Our youngest student is 4, and our oldest is 72. At School of Rock Saginaw, we do our best to create an environment where students feel safe, welcome, and comfortable to take a chance playing an instrument and learning in front of other, growing musicians.”

School of Rock provides students of all ages with an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.
